RSC – Open Stages: Shakespeare in Cardiff, 5-7 July

July 4, 2012

“RSC Open Stages is a project that aims to embrace, develop and celebrate amateur theatre, re-forging the bond with the world of professional theatre”

“The ‘RSC Openstages’ regional showcase at Sherman Cymru in July will see 13 South West based amateur dramatics companies come together across 3 nights to perform extracts of their productions inspired by the works of William Shakespeare.

Each theatre companies has created their own take on, and response to, Shakespeare’s world and language to create a unique experience for their audience. The event promised to be full of fun, frivolity, entertainment and (no doubt) tragedy to embrace and reflect the magnificent works of the Bard himself as part of the World Shakespeare Festival 2012.”
